Five Reasons to Vote Pro-Choice

1. Our elected officials must represent OUR values. 71% of Californians are pro-choice, but only 63% of California’s legislature supports a woman’s right to choose.
2. We must ensure that our state legislature stays pro-choice. President Bush's agenda and appointments to the courts mean that the fight to protect choice could come down to the states.
3. 41% of California's counties don't have an abortion provider. We must push for provider-friendly legislation that will help create a climate that encourages more comprehensive women's health care in these underserved areas.
4. Our future depends on it. While statewide legislation was passed to ensure medically accurate sex education is taught in our schools, we need to make sure that our leaders enforce that law. The next generations of Californians must have the tools they need to make responsible choices.
5. We must elect pro-choice candidates who will vote for common sense prevention legislation including honest, age-appropriate sex education for teens and increased access to affordable birth control - critical measures that our opponents will not get behind.
